Welcome to the South Valley Wine Auction website. Entering our eleventh year of raising funds for local school athletic programs, the South Valley Wine Auction owes its success to your generosity and the support of our community.

In 1999 the first South Valley Wine Auction was held as a fundraiser for the running programs at Live Oak High School. The event now lends support to all Athletic Programs of the Morgan Hill Unified School District, whose boundaries range from just north of Gilroy, through the communities of San Martin, Morgan Hill and Coyote Valley to South San Jose, California. This area encompasses a population of over 100,000.

Over the years, the SVWA has evolved into a celebration of food, wine and related fine arts. Being held at the elegant Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center, it has become the premiere event of its kind in the fast growing South County Sector of Santa Clara Valley.

In addition to the growing number of patrons who look forward to this event, there is an increasing need to provide our local youth opportunities for physical activities. Due to the economics of public education, many sports programs are being downsized. With the funds generated by the South Valley Wine Auction, all sports programs within the Morgan Hill Unified School District (Live Oak High School, Ann Sobrato High School, Lewis H. Britton Middle School, and Martin Murphy Middle School) are given the opportunity to grow and achieve success.

It is sponsored by the non-profit South Valley Athletic Foundation, dedicated to promoting healthy activities within the Morgan Hill Unified School District through athletic opportunities for our public school youth.

What: Sample fine local wines and gourmet foods while bidding on truly unique wine items, gourmet dinners, prestigious golf packages, winery tours, artwork, and lifestyle items!

When: Friday, April 3, 2009

Where: Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road, Morgan Hill, Hiram Morgan Hill Room.

Time: 6:00 - 11:00 p.m.
